Dr. Ahmed Elkamhawy (Assistant Prof. at Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan) is an experienced pharmaceutical/bioorganic chemist & an academic pharmacist. He has over 15 years of hands-on experience designing, synthesizing, and developing new small molecules (organic compounds) for pharmaceutical use. His research investigates organic chemical reactions, structure-activity relationships of synthesized molecules, and drug discovery principles. He explores drug mechanisms of action and the relationship between chemical structure and biological activity to enhance drug candidates' potency, selectivity, and safety.
