Dr. Mutasem O. Taha is a professor at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Faculty of Pharmacy/University of Jordan. Dr. Taha has earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in medicinal organic chemistry from the University of Loughborough in the United Kingdom. Dr. Taha has recently been working in the areas of developing new polymeric materials for drug delivery and applications of molecular modeling and machine learning techniques in drug design and pharmaceutics.

Dr. Taha has authored and coauthored more than 190 articles in specialized international journals and has four patents in his name. He received 12 awards from local, regional, and international bodies. He is currently in charge of the Drug Design and Discovery Unit at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Jordan. Dr. Taha has been reported in the Stanford University list of the top 2% of scientists during 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
